Bianca's BlogWelcome to my Blog January 19 Trip to Wellington December 2008From December 25th to December 27th my family and I went to Wellinginton. Obivously I had a great time! We went to Te Papa. The special exibhibiton this time was the Colossal Squid. And everything else was the same from last time we went there( I think that was in 2007?
 )For the first two days we went there, we went to Te Papa, I forgot to tell you that that was NZ's National Mueseum and it was the only mueseum in the whole entire world that had a Colossal Squid on display...WOW! (And I got to see it!!! GO ME!!!)
For the last day we went to the Parliament, but we had to take a tour or else you are not allowed to wonder around in the Parliament, I think they think that you will mess around and break things. I bought this cute little bear at the Parliament Shop which had a shirt on saying "House bear". I named it Helen after the previous Prime Minister.There were also some mints called ParliaMINTS and GoverMINTS. That was really funny.
Right until now I miss the hotel that we were staying in... the Duxton Hotel.( It was very grand!!

   January 10 My holiday trip to Wellington and TaupoTuesday 9 January 2007
Last Friday my family and I [Bianca] went to Wellington,I woke up at 5:00 and my family woke up at 4:00.We left about at 5:30 my dad [Charles] drove all the way in a car me and my brother,Vincent got bored so we started to play games.We stop sometimes to have breakfast and lunch.We drove for about 7-8 hours which was about 660 kilometres.When we arrived at Wellington we was just in time for lunch which was at 12:00.Then we had to find a Motel,which when we found,had stairs,3small beds and 1 big bed,which was slept on by our parents.Me and my brother slept in 2 seperate beds in the Motel.The next morning Vincent and I woke up late[11:00]so our mother woke us up we brushed our teeth and wiped our face,when we went downstairs we had noodles for breakfast.After that we went to see the parliament but...it was closed so we went back.The next day we went to see the parliament again and see if it was open...it was!In the parliament we went to see the beehive which was kind of at the entrance.We was going to be lead by a tourist her name was Jennet,we learned lots of things,so!Did you know?...That in the chamber of the parliament a law was made at first it would be called a bill then next the people in the chamber will vote,if the bill has enough votes it will become a law!Also,did you know?...Helen clark is included in the chamber,sits in the 4th seat, John Key [who was national in last years vote]sits oppisite to Helen clark and that that their use to be a fire in the parliament?.Next we went to see a museum,and in the museum we saw a real mummy,learned alot of facts about animals,heard stories of Gods like Seth and
Osiris, and even learn that Seth was Osiris's brother and murderer!and last of all aTimeWarp which had fun games.Then we went to dinner after we went back home.The next morning I woke up about 11:00 and Vincent woke up about 10:00,todaywe were leaving Wellington and going to Taupo and staying in their newest Motel and going to Prawn Park to fish the prawn with a fishing rod......however when we got there it was raining so our dad said what about we just have lunch here in the restaurant. After we finished eating, we went to the wood crafting shop and there I bought a spinning top made with rimu wood. Then we went to the Honey shop we saw some pony outside the shop I picked up some grasses to feed them until they were full. Next we went to the honey shop and buy some honey and soap. We were now leaving Taupo and went all the way home, sweet home.
